Why We Exist
Signal Coding was founded in 2025 to address a specific gap in the UK market: AI-accelerated software engineering delivered by SC/DV cleared personnel, under defence-grade governance, at a fraction of traditional procurement cost and timeline.
Traditional software procurement takes 12–24 months and costs £500K–£1M+ for bespoke solutions. AI-accelerated engineering can deliver functional prototypes within days and production-ready applications within weeks – but only when appropriate governance ensures security, quality, and compliance standards are maintained throughout.
The UK Government's own DSIT trial of 1,000 civil service developers validated the approach: 28 working days saved per developer per year.
